Each year the DEC checks the progress our member agencies have made in their disaster responses against their original plans, and shares the findings with the public via annual reports.
The 2011-12 Annual Report is the first since the launch of the East Africa Crisis Appeal and focuses on the DEC Member Agencies' immediate and ongoing response to that disaster. As part of our efforts to increase transparency and accountability this report includes a breakdown of how money was spent in the first six months of disaster response (see pages 16-17). The report also describes and evaluates the continued resilience-building and reconstruction work done by DEC members as part of the longer-term response to the 2011 Pakistan Floods and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake .
