A powerful 7.7 magnitude earthquake has devastated huge areas of Myanmar. People urgently need help to survive.

Thousands of people have died and hundreds are still missing. With countless roads, hospitals, schools and water supplies destroyed, many more have no access to the safe shelter, clean water, food and medical care they need to survive.

Myanmar was already facing a severe humanitarian crisis with a third of the population in need of humanitarian aid. Now the situation is catastrophic.

DEC charities are working with affected communities to provide vital aid but need more funds to scale up their work and reach the most vulnerable.

How can you help?

You can help people affected by the earthquake by making a donation and helping to raise money for the DEC appeal. This will allow DEC charities and their local partners to provide shelter, medical care, food, water, cash support and other lifesaving aid.
