The DEC is a unique and dynamic membership organisation which comprises 15 of the UK’s
leading humanitarian charities, pooling our resources to work as one. We are pivotal in
co-ordinating the UK public's response to overseas disasters. In collaboration with our Rapid Response Network of national media and corporate partners, we raise the alarm to the UK public and set up easy ways to donate, with most of our funds raised over an intensive two-week period following a disaster.
Since our launch in 1963, we have run over 75 fundraising appeals and raised more than £2 billion, saving countless lives and rebuilding communities.
We are now seeking a Programme Quality, Accountability & Learning Officer, to support the monitoring, evaluation, accountability and learning activities that the DEC undertakes with its 15 member agencies across ongoing appeals (Afghanistan, Ukraine (including Poland, Romania, Moldova, and Hungary), Pakistan, Turkey, and Syria).
With an emphasis on learning and improvement, you will:
- Draft Terms of Reference for learning initiatives.
- Maintain a log of progress on our organisational learning outputs.
- Code and cleanse data.
- Act as a key point of contact for members MEAL activities.
- Develop reports to disseminate and promote key messages.
- Review members’ evaluations for quality and alignment to our standards.
If you have worked in the humanitarian sector [NGO, UN Agency or similar], have good analytical skills, are a problem solver, enjoy improving processes, then we would love to hear from you.
