As the conflict in Ukraine lead to a large scale humanitarian emergency for millions of people the Disasters Emergency Committee launched an appeal to raise funds to help meet the humanitarian needs of the people most impacted in Ukraine, Romania, Poland, Moldova and Hungary.
Thanks to the generosity of the British public and support from the UK government’s Aid Match scheme, the appeal has raised over £400m. This report shows how this funding has been used by DEC members and their partners in the first six months of the response, from March to August 2022.The report contains key achievements from Phase 1 of the response across the five countries:
