In the last 60 years the DEC has raised £2.4 billion to respond to earthquakes and tsunamis, hunger and drought, the impacts of conflict and climate change and reached millions of people in humanitarian need.
One of the DEC’s most inspiring fundraisers is Archie Douglas who was diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour eight years ago. Archie has now raised over £15,000 for the Disasters Emergency Committee’s work to provide life-saving relief for crisis-affected communities.
Aid workers say the situation in the world's most fragile state is the worst it has been for the whole of the war.
We really appreciate your support and generosity in helping us raise funds to help people in times of crisis.
