We only launch an appeal when we know we can help, and we have three criteria to help ensure that we launch the right appeals at the right time.

The DEC only funds work by our 15 member charities, which deliver aid directly or through trusted partners to those in need.

The DEC is part of a global alliance of humanitarian coalitions which is called the Emergency Appeals Alliance (EAA).
